Warming Up

If there is ever a drought, all I would need to do to end it is give Ned a bath because for some reason it always rains right after. He's like a five year old boy in more ways than one; entertaining, and impossible to keep clean.

In other news, Ned and I will be making our first long trip together ever towards the end of the month. We gotta feel out how he handles the miles before I decide to head out across the country. I'm sure we'll do fine, but I'd just like to work him into it. If you don't warm up before you run, your more likely to pull a muscle, so we plan on warming up like it's going out of style.

Milage update: 48,9 and change.

American Muscle Hero

On this day as our glorious memorial to American heros, Ned gave a jump to a toyota. Once again, America bails out another country's mistake.

Truth be told, the toyota actually didn't need the jump. It was a loose starter cable that was causing the problem, but the fact of the matter is Ned, American muscle, started on his own and was there to help if needed.

You're Welcome World.

Beauty's Got Muscle tease.

A taste of the beginning. A mozzarella stick if you will.

"The Speck" is no speck.

Recently I've noticed Ned and I have a little friend/ welcomed squatter. I'm not really sure what kind of bug he is, but I'm sure he's no bug to me or Ned, pun intended. He's more of a mascot. If he was a wrestler, his name would be "The Speck". 70 mph and still on the side of Ned deserves some kind of heroic recognition. I did escort him into a cup inside Ned afterwards for the ride home because I'm not heartless, and would panic for him otherwise. After our first meeting, we've seen "The Speck" on 3 different occasions. I like to believe it's always him because he always is hanging on the driver side window, and I also like to believe in believing. "The Speck" has a personality to him, and with out a doubt resilience. Ned and I look forward to future visits.

Nervous Ned

I am constantly worried about Ned. I triple check if I lock the doors, park miles away so people would have to really go out of their way to hurt him, thus making it less likely. I have these daymares of people intentionally fucking with him, and nightmares of people stealing him, and my sister totaling him. I'm a paranoid to the point of no reason; it's love, obsessive love. I figure I'm overly protective because if someone comes up to Ned, and wants to key him or kick him, he can't protect himself from them. I'd feel awful if someone did that, and I wouldn't be able to get redemption for him on the anonymous assailant. He's protected me in my car accidents. I owe it to him to do the same, but not only owe, I want to because I care about him.

Young Hearts

Most days I feel like I'm just a little kid stuck inside of a 22 year old body. Ned's just the same. A 32 year old body and a motor at 48,000 miles. We're just two buddies, forever young at heart. Our mom's will always worry, and worry they should.

Bondo is another name for Band-Aid

Ned came to me a wholesome, gorgeous, metal machine, but with me the inevitable happened.
I am the bull to the world's china closet. I am also the world's most absent minded bull so Ned hasn't gotten the attention he truly deserves from me and for this I apologize to him daily (well at least on days I remember.). On a more positive note we recently put 'the petal to the metal' on getting him looking f i n e. Along with much help from Jude, my father, Ned's wounds are mended with bondo, his signals taped up, and his name tag removed. The next step is his exhaust and then we continue our journey to paint. I've decided to keep him the same color. It's who he is, and I can't imagine him being anything else.

I haven't posted in a while because I've decided to change what's happening here. I could feel myself falling away from it, and I couldn't stay committed to something in that state, so I had a "inner self sit down" and thought. Everyone has one noun that completes them in a sense, that is who they are as much as they are them, and will forever hold their heart. I know mine, as does everyone who knows me. Something profound. Maybe not to anyone else, but to me he's everything.

32 year old Nathaniel Ned Nova. A 250 cu. 6 cylinder 4.1 liter hero of muscle.

The best way I can explain our relationship is to reference an actual one that two people share because that is exactly what it is. If you were to ask someone why they love their partner, (and I'm talking about the ones that actually DO love them) you wouldn't be able to pick my answer out from the rest. This blogs future is my future with him more or less.

The person who said ''Patience is a virtue'' must of had all the time in the world

We're just sand grains slipping through the glass.

While walking along captree beach we found this. We don't know the author, or if its even real, but now its forever.

Man the Land or Land the Man.

Warmer weather is coming and my patience is going.

Only one day is the real shame.

He is everything fantastic, and everything more. I look forward to finding him again this time around.

White suits and Cabernet.

I am biased to two door cars, yoohoo, gatorade, and black backgrounds.

March 11, 2010

Positive thinking.

Misty rain reminds me of this one movie I had when I was younger called the Secret Garden, back in the days of VHS.

March 10, 2010

One week.

I apply to pubs, and irish stores frequently. One of these days it'll happen.

March 9, 2010

We're intoxicating this time around.

I always prefer cupcakes to a piece of cake, but I prefer a slice of pizza instead of a personal pan.

March 8, 2010

I love you handsome.

Keith is everything I'd want my own kids to be like; sarcasm, confidence and energy for days.

March 7, 2010

Enjoy the ride, and try not to get gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe.

In some cases, being in love is a lot like when I was younger and the carnival would come into town. I was excited it was coming, anxious to go, slightly jealous if friends went before me, would wait patiently on any line, and would miss it when it went away.

Grass isn't always green.

I wanted to be a firewoman, and have considered it as a back up plan.

March 5, 2010

Your everything.

Glass in my foot from the streets of NYC because I decided to run barefoot to a job interview. That is dedication, along with stupidity.
